From stubborn teen to mural artist

I used to get told off in high school art class for drawing swirls and decorative flowers on my art! My teacher told me that they were meaningless and didn’t add anything. Of course that made me want to do it more! The thing that I LOVE about art is that there are really no wrong answers, just differences in opinions.

This photo is of a mural that I painted in a supported living house for people with disabilities. I wanted the mural to make the house feel homely and to help people feel calm. I want people to have their own interpretation of what it means to them😊 

And to my high school art teacher… I’ll draw flowers whenever I please haha (she was okay, I was just a stubborn teenager).
