I absolutely loved drawing this dog. I love starting with a blank page and a pencil and watching something evolve. It’s almost like my hand is just drawing and I am watching it as an outsider.

When the portrait is finished, I leave it for the next day. I come back to it with fresh eyes. I will keep working on a portrait until I think there is absolutely nothing I can do to make it better. But sometimes, I am super happy with the result and feel a strong sense of achievement and pride. It feels like a warm, wonderful feeling in my chest.
